Integrated motor controls can include solid state controllers, electro-mechanical starters, variable frequency drives, reduced voltage solid start starters, panel boards, PLC control sections, communication packages, and more.

Motor control centres (MCC) are simply a group of combination starters in one assembly. A combination starter is a single enclosure containing the Motor Starter, Fuses or Circuit Breaker, and a Device for Disconnecting Power. Other devices associated with the motor, such as pushbuttons and indicator lights, may also be included.

Motor control centres are usually used for low voltage three-phase alternating current motors from 208 V to 600 V.
